As part of Hood River's Performing Arts Initiative kick-off celebration, Hunter Noack performs live on a nine-foot Steinway concert grand piano at the mission style Columbia Gorge Hotel in Hood River, outdoors overlooking the Columbia River Gorge. This concert is aimed to raise awareness and interest in the future multi-use 600-seat performing arts center that will be the home and showcase for a wide range of local and national talent, used year-round.

 

MORE ABOUT THIS VENUE:

The Columbia Gorge Hotel is a historic hotel in Hood River, built by Simon Benson, who was is responsible for the “benson bubblers” free fountains across Portland, preserving the Columbia River Gorge by purchasing 400 acres that includes Wahkeena Falls and Multnomah Falls and deeding it to the City of Portland, and Benson was instrumental in the construction of the Historic Columbia River Highway. He envisioned a hotel at the end of the highway, and completed the Mission style hotel in 1921.
