Hunter Noack performs live on a nine-foot Steinway concert grand piano at The Shire, a private 75-acre waterfront site in the heart of the Columbia River Gorge, directly across from Multnomah Falls.
***This concert is limited to 80 attendees***
The Shire is a 78-acre, 1-mile stretch of the Columbia Gorge directly across the river from Multnomah Falls. Architect and conservationist John Yeon purchased the land in 1965 when it was threatened with industrial development. Over the next 25 years, he shaped it with meadows, trails, and plantings into series of captured views of the Gorge and falls. It is the birthplace of the Friends of the Columbia River Gorge and the successful effort to pass the 1986 scenic act that now protects 292,000 acres of the Gorge. The Shire is now owned by the University of Oregon's John Yeon Center for Architecture and the Landscape.
